The video embedded above shows a short compilation of a few clips from a shoot with DJ Russo with Tal Smith. This experience showed me the possibilities of local content production and how large of a digital media demand there is in Athens, GA. All footage in this video was shot with an iPhone 15 Pro Max using Blackmagic Cam, but I will soon begin using a Lumix G95 for shoots and hope to play a more collaborative role with Tal in future productions.

All video was recorded in Apple ProRes 422 and colorgraded in DaVinci Resolve. I wanted to focus more on video composition and developing my editing ability than on color grading from LOG footage. I hope to practice my color grading on LOG footage in the near future, but my priority in the present will be on basic video production and understanding the use of a professional camera.

Overall, this was a great way to dip my toes in the water of media production, and it felt rewarding to get behind-the-scenes footage of a close friend of mine who has recorded such an expansive amount of footage of me. See the final clip from Tal Smith here.
